Hallway Stained Glass

A hallway in a home can sometimes be a dark area that doesn’t offer much character. Adding some stained glass here can be a perfect alternative to brighten this stretch of your home. It maintains privacy, yet allows the light to stream through the hallway, brightening it and making it a very pleasurable place to be. 

Stained glass windows in the hallway allow the perfect balance of privacy and light while providing a focal point and design element in an area that is typically void of much attention and decoration.

Many older homes in Salt Lake City have sliding windows in the hallway or staircase window which will open and close. Scottish Stained Glass can design the glass in two separate sections to allow for the window to continue to be functional. In more modern homes, the glass is sometimes one large piece. Here at Scottish, this poses no problems as we can manufacture a single section any size of window up to 4 feet wide x 8 feet tall.

Many years ago homes were often built with stained glass hallway windows. However, as builders started to cut back on costs this design disappeared in the 1930’s.
